
About Me
Noa Brenner (born March 30, 1968, in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli author, screenwriter, playwright, lyricist, and actress.
Born and raised in Ramat Aviv, she is the granddaughter of writer and poet Zvi Arad. She studied at Alliance High School and began her career with the Young Tel Aviv Ensemble (1983–1986).
In 1986, she joined the Southern Command Entertainment Troupe during her military service. Afterward, she studied acting and theater at Tel Aviv University.
Early in her career, Brenner wrote and performed in the satirical stage show Pressure alongside Tzvika Hadar, where she created several memorable characters, including Jojo Halastra. She later performed with the Israeli Children and Youth Theater and the Cameri Theatre.
In 1999, she wrote the screenplay for As If Nothing Happened, which received a Special Jury Mention at the Jerusalem Film Festival and won First Prize at the New York Jewish Film Festival.
Between 2004 and 2021, Brenner wrote numerous award-winning musicals, family productions, Hanukkah shows, children's television series, and created the children's character Tom Goes to First Grade.
In 2025, her debut novel, The Girl with the Ladder (Saar Publishing), was published. Based on a true family story, the novel spans three generations of women.
Noa is married to lighting designer Amir Brenner, and they have three daughters.
